Fabulous photo of a grass sickness survivor, most definitely returned to full health!!
This horse fell sick with chronic grass sickness in May 2011, on a premises where there had been no grass sickness cases since 1935, when there was one isolated case. She was nursed by the specialist grass sickness nurse at the ‘Dick Vet’ in Edinburgh, and then at home.
She is pictured here in the autumn, having made a fast recovery in the experienced hands of her owners, and gently brought back into work. Her owners report that initially her balance and co-ordination seemed different, but she worked through that and is now making tremendous progress and proving to be a very talented horse.
